History

History

The Chorus was founded in 1975, that means 2015 was our 40th anniversary. It was originally based in Chesham, then moved to Hemel Hempstead for a few years, but has been back in Chesham now since 1999. Some of the founder members still sing with the Chorus.

Every year we compete in the national championships organised by the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS). We have an ambition to be in the top 10 Barbershop Choruses in the UK. We are very close, coming 15th in 2013 and 11th in 2014. We have been in the top 10 before, and we are determined to be back in that exclusive club.

In the past we have sung internationally in festivals and competitions as far apart as Florida and Zakinthos.
